I'm using Excel and trying to test items in conditional "if" statements for a payroll worksheet with about 20 steps to test. Excel will only allow 7 nested "if's". Is there a way to override this limit or another way to accomplish what I need?

I have just upgraded to Office from Works and both are still in my system. Every Excel spreadsheet I receive opens automatically in Works spreedsheet unless I choose open with excel. Is there a way to make Excel the master spreadsheet?

Chaps, I use Excel at a pretty advanced level, inc writing VBA. My work deploys everything across a network, using Citrix (i.e. nothing, even apps is local).
