I have some hidden rows and columns in my spreadsheet. When I write a formula, eg sum(a1:b10), and click cell a1, all hidden rows and columns automatically unhide. How do I stop the hidden rows and columns from unhiding on their own accord?

When I select the View pulldown menu in the VBA Editor, the Toolbox is grayed out. I can't determine any reason for this. Any ideas?

how do i change the columns dimensions to mm or cm? to work with some cad software i need to integrate spred sheets and the columns must be precise. for that at least the wide should be in mm or cm. thanks for your help
