automatic number to date conversions? currently i have to keep all cells
formatted to text, to avoid this, and not have 1-2 turn into jan 2. or

excel 2007
i am trying to get new worksheets to start with using text in all cells and
wordwrap. i unhide personal.xls, make the changes, save it. close and reopen
excel.

I'm fighting with the default scrolling in excel.  When scrolling in excel
it 'snaps' to each cell.  Is there any way to turn this off?  This ‘feature’
is especially annoying when scrolling horizontally through large cells.

Up till today, all of my XP Office (2002) apps have been running fine.
Suddenly and inexplicably...and only as of today, when I try to open Excel or
any of my many Excel documents, Windows Installer initiates and starts
