Opening files by double clicking takes for ever - Word, Excel31 Jul 2008 13:17 GMT3
I've just upgraded our Terminal Server to Office 2007.
If I open a Word/Excel file by double clicking the document, the App opens
and sits there for a while. Then eventually the document opens, like in 40+
seconds.

2007 column width defaults to 8.43 whereas 2003 was 8.38.  I need to default
as 2003 because of shared 2003 spreadsheets become distorted in 2007

I want to do a mail merge.
For this, each line of the address is supposed to be on one line of Excel

I HATE the new version.  Can't find the commands I need because the product
has been dumbed down so much that people who actually know Excel can't get
anything done.  I wish I had never updated to Office 2007.  Any way to adjust
the set up so that 2007 looks like 2005 version?

Suddenly when I use the arrow keys on the keyboard the sheet shift with the
keys instead of moving from one cell to another.

I have a spreadsheet that works on the machine thatcreated it.
i also saved to a memory stick in order to download to another computer
