I'm somewhat familiar with the new roles functionality in SP1 now, and I
understand that the order in which they are defined matters, because IP
apparently stops at the first matching role for a given user and assumes
that is their current role.

I've just started testing a new form and I realise that it would be useful
to query my database with a partially completed field or wilcard.

My form has to do the following:
1)retrieve user info from the ad
2)retrieve info from a webservice/db using a field for
