while designing a form ive noticed that some controls (checkboxes)
cannot be hidden using conditional formatting.
simple situation: if user selects something from a drop down list, i
want a checkbox to appear below it.

It is my understanding that if a field/element is a Date (date)  Data type
then the form field cannot be blank at validation. To allow blank values I
need to change the Data type to Text (string).

I want to automate sending an InfofPath form as an HTML e-mail message, and
NOT as an attachment.  How can I do that?

This is an exception that I was running into using InfoPath. I just
wanted to share what I found to be the cause as it took me a bit of
time. Basically it looks as though you can not return a datatype of
"object" through the webservice you are using to populate your InfoPath

I have a datasource connection to a table showing multiple records in a
repeating table on the form.
I want to place a [Del] button and delete the active record both in the

If you respond yes to InfoPath's question whether to use any data in the .xml
file that you base your form on, then change some of the sample data in the
file, try to use Convert Main Data Source to refresh the data it doesn't
work.  How can one update this sample data?

I have created a simple Access database (single table) and linked this, in
design mode, to an InfoPath form.  When I drag and drop data fields onto the
form they automatically create a repeating section?  I don't want a repeating
section!  What am I doing wrong?
