When Paste Special links the option of Bitmap, etc is given instead of
linking the cell.  Also cannot just do = and select the other workbook and
select a cell.

a list of employee pay is being multiplied by the medicaid, ss and disability
rates to end with a net pay assuming no fed or state withholding.  the
formula for the net is the gross less the three calculated tax results.  the
result net pay is off by a penny in several cases ...

For some reason, the copy tab function is not working for me.  I can move
Tabs, but when I highlight the tab(s) and select "copy", nothing happens.
Suggestions?

We get spreadsheets from another application that have a column of "numbers"
that act like text.  The only way to get them to act like numbers is to copy
them out to a text file and then copy them back in.  Is there an easier way?

I'm currently using Excel 2002 SP3. I use conditional formatting in many
of my spreadsheets, but I haven't been able to figure out how to "Hide"
a row or column based on a certain condition. Is there a method for

I need to color cells for instance if I have suppliers who are late on the
responses I need to color code a cell letting me know that the suppliers are
late and how late.  Can this be accomplished and if so how?

I've greated a one page spreadsheet in excel.  The format cells drop down
menu will not appear unless I am in an empty cell.  What have I done to cause

I have a list of about 2,000 social security numbers in excel. Some are
formatted with an apostrophe to preserve the first zero. I need them all to
be a string of nine numbers with no dashes and to preserve the first zero in
the formula bar. The Custom formatting dispays the zero ...
