Usually, when I use the subtotal function under the Data menu, I am able to group the subtotals. I am not able to do it in one file. Is there a reason why? TIA Greg

I've seen 1000 posts on how to base a header on a cell value. I need to do the opposite. That is to say, if the sheet name is "Dogs", I need to put that value in a particular cell on a separate sheet. This can be done with vba or indwelling formula.

I just had a quick power outage, and now everytime I create a new spreadsheet, Excel is automatically locking it so I can't go in and change/add information. Can anyone help me figure out how to make it stop?
