Is it possible to include a number in a cell as line reference in a formula?

I have a spreadsheet that starts at A1 and ends at AK. (on horizontal plane)
However when I scroll to the right the excel window goes to CB  (way past AK)

I have a user at work who is having a problem when he opens certain excel
workbooks, that contains multiple worksheets.  Several (3 or 4) instances of
this workbook open automatically, each with a diffirent sheet open.
Has anyone seen this and know what the fix is?
