I can restrict data entry to unique entries only in the range E7 to E500 using data validation: =IF(COUNTIF($E$7:$E$500,E7)=1 However unless I lock down sheet to stop copying and pasting this quickly

A 2 part question:- 1] Is it possible for Excel to link page numbers to a Word document ie Word document is 5 pages long & Excel starts page number at 6 (or whatever the last page of the Word document is - needs to be flexible)

I have one user using a standard file (Excel 2003) that they can make changes then save, but if they then make further changes it will not save under that or any other file name, any idea's why?

I get a file every month that contains 2500 social security numbers. The dashes are in the right place but some of the leading zero's are always missing in that particular column. Instead of trying to add these manually, is there something I can do instead??
