How do you change format so invoice number changes each time?

I have a large range of cells that contain comments.  I want to change the
word linear to exponential in all the comments.  Is there a way to do this?

I'm using Excel 2003 Prof Ed.  and am experiencing a similar problem as
described in previous posts, but can't find a solution.  The formula works in
some cells but not in others.  I have tried changing the format of the cell
and checking the formula, but excel does not even want ...

What's the fastest way to select very large ranges, for example the 5-
by-1000 range B3:F1002?
I know I can select B3, scroll or page down to row 1002, and shift-
left-click on F1002.

I've seen several posts on how to display last saved date for the active
workbook, but  I'm searching for the last saved date of a linked file. Can

Looking for a formula that will allow me to return a reference used in
another cell as text.
For example
cell tab1!A1 contains formula =tab2!c1 and displays contents of tab2!c1

When I go into full screen mode I can't seem to get out of it.  There is no

I want to use + and / symbols as text (in a table to designate positive or
negative evaluation), but formatting all cells in the document as 'text' does
not keep Excel from recognizing them as computing functions.  Here is the

I am having problems with my validation list when I have updated the

I have an Excel 2003 workbook on a network that is constantly being accessed
by different people. It's a master copy that's supposed to have its changes
saved every time someone's done with it, but the problem is that it doesn't.
