right click to select column. data menu. sort option is grayed. why?
( I thought it was because I had already sorted this spreadsheet. but
I created a new sheet, copied in a few columns of my problem sheet.
and I can sort on any column I choose to. )

I have a worksheet that contains approximately 2500 names.  At this time all
names in in lowercase.  I need to get them all into UPPERCASE.  I know
there's got to be an easier way to do that rather then retyping each name.

I have a problem while exporting a data in an excel sheet.
The first time I have exported I got the data as mentioned in column A and
the relative data is manually entered as in column B

the formula bar in my excel program has a horizontal orientation but entered
data is presented vertically, making it difficult to read.  i have been
unable to find a way to change that.  thanks for the help.

i want to create a pop up window so when i x excel, it pops up like an error

One of my data sheets at work brings numbers into Excel as decimals. For
instance, 5 hours and 39 minutes is shown as 5.39. How can I get Excel to
convert this to 5:39 (semicolin instead of decimal)?

a1 type some letters and the customer corresponding to the letters i am
typing in comes up.  Exactly like a search engine for excel.  Any help on

For example, the filename for my current workbook is Eric - RRRRR.xls, and

I would like to send an excel document to someone , it consists of
approximately 6 worksheets. Is there a way that I can prevent them from
printing it out once I have emailed it to them.

If I've gat the same number showing up twice , can I get the name next to

I have noticed that when i go to file - save as... and then select the drop
down list to select the drive i wanna put my .xls file into... that it takes
sometimes 3-4 minutes for it to drop down. This doesnt happen in any other
Office program. I am on a company network (fyi)
