When I open an EXCEL file I want it create a backup copy that's not the same as the automatic recovery copy. I have some old EXCEL files that do this but don't know how it was done.

When I try to import a set of dates from Internet explorer, the date format changes to US date format those dates are =<12. If I try to convert those date format the dd/mm/yyyy shuffles to mm/dd/yyyy. Ex:
