I am trying to set up a secure picture on an excel template.  I originally
put the picture in the Header of the Excel File which is a template.  When I
send the template to other users - they can see and print the picture just
fine but the template is actually meant to be used ...

Here's what I'd like to do:
The value in cell A1 changes every day.  Can that value be
automatically recorded each day into a list that compiles what the
value was each day?

i have data laid out like this:

How can I start text in a cell with a hyphen without Excel thinking it is a

I want to do conditional formatting in a cell which itself contains a formula
like vlookup. This means that conditional formatting should be applied tothe
cell after that formula(vlookup) has been done.

I want to disable updates of automatic links in Excel. If I receive a
workbook with cells that another user has linked to a file from their
temporary folder (emailed attachment?), I can't stop Excel from trying to
update the link and therefore get #REF! msgs.

suppose, we format the cell with TEXT data type, Then does it convert the

When I import the files (i recieved via email) into excel, everything is OK,
except Excell doesn't recognise the numbers in the cells as such and as a
result, it doesn't do formulas.. Anyone know the trick to fix the problem?

I am able to hide rows but unable to unhide them. Worksheet not protect and
cells not locked - but cannot seem to solve this mystery.
