Hi, I am trying to design a macro that will search for values in a column
that are 6 characters long.  Data is text that looks like numbers (downloaded
from a mainframe).  I tried using a search with 6 *'s but it just returned
everything.

Ok, I can't think of any remotely-easy way to do this.  My data exists as
such:  accounts listed in the rows, dates (by month) listed in the columns;
in the fields corresponding to each account/dates is the quantity of items
the account purchased in that month.

format in cell F5, I could format paint that conditional formatting from F6

I am looking for a way to break up a range into separate cells.  For example,
I have a range of zip codes in one cell that looks like this: 99359-99363  I
would like that to break into 5 cells, with values of 99359, 99360, 99361,
99362, and 99363.

I've created a drop down menu for cell I4 that allows users to choose A, B, C
or D.  Depending on what letter they choose, I want another drop down menu.  
Such as, if they choose A, I want their choices to be Apples, Oranges,
Grapes.  If they choose B, I want their choices to be ...

I am sure this is easier than I am making it out but how do I subtract a date
in cell F11 from todays date? We want to actually calculate the number of
months in between the dates.

Does anyone know of a way to determine what cultural environment an Excel
workbook was created in before opening the workbook? We tried right-clicking
and looking in properties, but didn't see any property referencing the
environment.

I have about 2000 names and addresses in Column A in block form. I would like
to have the option to separate the name from the address Example: move
address to column B so I can mail merge.  Any suggestions would be helpful.

How to recover data that I have been working on for the past 3 days and I
save it with the picture disc save and just closed it. Now it will not show
all my data.

I have a series of 10 cells, and I only want to be able to select one of the
cells.  Therefore, if I put an "x" in one of the 10 cells, I want the cell
that currently has the "x" in it to clear out.

I have added insert and delete rows/column buttons to my Excel tool bar - but
the tool bar keeps changing back.  How do I locl the trool bar to accept my
changes?
