substract 153.84 from E3 (which will = 953.04)

Yesterday I coloured / shaded cells in a worksheet and closed the file.  When
I reopened it today, I could not see any of the colouring / shading.  I know
that the colouring / shading is there because, whan I copy and paste the
worksheet into Word, there they are.

I know two ways to do a simple shade-every-other-row format in Excel 2003
(either use the preset "List 1" under AutoFormat, or select each row
individually that you want to shade). Does it work the same way in Excel
2007? If not, how do you do it? Thanks!

I have created a scatter diagram chart in Excel 2007.  When I overwrite the
source data, populating the cells with new data, the chart does not update.  
I have found the only way to change the chart is to delete all data series
and re-create them.  Is there a better way?

but still, when i create a new file via macro, and use the following:

I have one column in excel sheet filled in dates from 1/1/2007 till 31/12/2007
in second column sales figures for each date
I want a formula to sum all sales figures in June only moth or August month
Please help
