excel wont let me type percent or fwd slash symbol on their own,y?28 Dec 2007 15:07 GMT4
i want to type in those charachters but instead of the symol appearing in the
cell, it highlights the menu options at the top (file, edit, fav, etc).  it
works if i type in the bar, or i type in the cell-delete- and then type
percent or fwd slash. Microsoft excel 2003

When I enter the formulae =CONCATENATE(A2,B2)  or  =A2&B2 rather than joining
the two texts, the formula as such is visible. This happens even when I enter
the formula via "Insert Function" where the result of the combined text is
visible!
