I have a simple spreadsheet for accounts
I need to find a formula that says if in a1 a number from 1 to 6 is entered
the value of another cell adds to a column marked 1 to 6

I have been using excel 2003 for some months now & when i open saved files or
a new workbook my columns have changed from letters to numbers.
Why would this happen & how can i change it back.

I'm trying to join 2 cells of text which I need to repeat for a few thousand
lines.
I've used the formula:

Excel2003 ...
Row 1 ... Cols D-E-F-G-H-I-J ... contain SUMIF Formula with Range (D4:D100)
changed for each respective Column.  Works great when Rows not Filtered.
Cell D1 contains ... =SUMIF(D4:D100,">0",K4:K100)

Toronto    at    N.Y.    Yankees    1:05    pm    ET
In cell L14 I have N.Y.  I would like a formula to find the value in cell
L14 (N.Y.) in cells A14:G14 and display the value next to it (Yankees in this

I would like to center an autoshape both vertically and horizontally within a
cell.  None of the options under Draw, Align/Distribute are available whether
or not the autoshape is selected.  Any suggestions?

Would anyone know a formula for the following?
What formula would round down if the tens of thousands in a number is less
then 10,000.00 or round up if over 10,000.00? For example if cell A250 equals
506,789.90 the cell would read 506,000.00 but A250 equals 511,782.90 the cell

Is it possible to format a value i.e. 151821.75 in Excel to display as
000000015182175?  The decimal places and comma need to be removed and
the field length must always be 15 characters.  For example the amount
258.73 will need to be displayed as 000000000025873.

I am having trouble copying and pasting tables from the internet into excel.
Even if something is configured as a table on the web, when I paste it into
