I want to have a worksheet's name to have meaning, depending on data entered
in a particular cell reference or range. Is this possible, rather then just
editing the worksheet name manually.

Okay...I have been working with Excel a long time...and this one has me
baffled! A co-worker is trying to hide/unhide columns in a pretty basic
worksheet (Office 2003)...when he goes to Window-Hide...it hides the ENTIRE
WORKBOOK...not a column, not a line, not even just a ...

I would like to know if there is any easy way to filter out the letters off
a reference.

I am creating a summary page, when I type in the cell = (then I go get the
cell from the other page) if this other cell is a sum, I get 0.00 in my
summary.
Why is that? and how can i fix it?

Mike H. just gave me a very nice introduction to modules (see around 15
threads below this one: "Remove any letter from a referenced cell") and
actually showed me that regex could be used with Excel.
Now I'm craving to get it working even more efficiently:

G12 has a dropdown menu in it, Y for YES, N for NO.
I12 is where the answers will go.
So if I pick N from the dropdown box in G12 , I need it to show a answer of 0
in I12. If I choose Y in cell G12 , I need it to use this formula  

I'm trying to filter a column named "Maturity Date" as follows:
The filter would be for items less than a date which would be in a cell in
another spreadsheet or at least in a cell outside of the filter range.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this.
