Rows 1 through 3 are hidden on a worksheet. I followed the directions to
unhide rows, but it's not working. What can I do?

Hi, I have a spreadsheet with many rows of data and 2 columns of data.
Format is like this with the row names differing at times between contacts:
Last Name    Smith
First Name    A.

=INDEX('A2_Sensitivity Analysis'!$AJ$16:$BA$31,COLUMNS($A:I),ROWS($1:25))
This worked until I inserted a few rows on the worksheet 'A2_Sensitivity
Analysis'.  Now I get #REF! error.  I'm trying to reference cells in column
AV, in this case row 24 on 'A2_Sensitivity Analysis'.

When I save an Excel file to a folder, a second 1KB file is created with the

I have a conditional format in C2. I have a bunch of columns that I want this
same format to apply to, but whenever I do the condional format formula never
changes. It will change If I copy down the same column, but not if I copy to
different columns.

Brief description of problem - Col A contains data in random cells down the
sheet, i.e., A1, A23, A25, A86, etc., each of which is common to data found
in rows in adjoining columns.  In this example I need to copy A1 to A2 thru
A22; copy A23 to A24; A25 to A26 thru A85; etc.  If ...

if i have 4 columns like this:

5    4000    5    12

When I try to open an Excel file by double clicking on it, it does not
show up. When I click on the restore/ maximise 'box' icon, it appears.
In other words, it does not come into view unless I click maximise.
I am using Excel 2007.

I want to apply data validation to a column wherein I would prefer to have a
drop-down of certain preferred values.  But I would also like to leave the
option for the user to enter any other value (thus not force the user to
select something from the drop-down list).

My in-laws have decided it was time to upgrade to a new computer (used

I'm a first time poster so please be patient if I don't give enough detail.
I'm trying to put an if stmt in one cell and conditionally format that cell.
My current formula is =IF(D10>=0,D10,NA()). But when D10 is blank it puts a
zero in E10 and thus my conditional format colors ...

Have numbers on column D, that are placed there by using the following
formula:
=IF(B14<=2,C14,0). This formula is copied down until the 400th row (some
times more).

I have a workbook that contains about 60 timesheets on individual worksheets.
