how do I insert rows in a worksheet without inserting adjoining rows

Occasionally, after making update changes to a simple spreadsheet of
information gathered for elevators and escalators, (when fire service or
emergency phone was tested last) I try to print out a new 6 page version of
all this information, but what comes out of my printer is 1/2" ...

I have a Spreadsheet that has several hidden columns.  Oftentimes, entire
rows will be deleted.  Is there any way to delete a row, while protecting the
hidden content?

I have the following in my spreadsheet:
Col A      Col B      Col C      Col D
Address  Client      TextC1      061
Address  Client      TextC2      051

I have created a macro to copy data from a worksheet; create a new worksheet
and paste the data.  However, the new worksheet has conditional formatting;
when I run the macro it deletes the worksheet along with the conditional
formatting.  Is there a way to append the new data and ...

My excel spread sheet contains 20,000 (20K) rows, it is large. The hidden
rows 18,500 (18.5K) I have no use for them. How can I get rid of them and
have a document with useful information?

A user wants to have a negative formatted with the minus sign AFTER the
number.  For example:  56.14-
Can this be done?  I need to have be a true number that can be used in a
calculation such as adding up a column.

How can I filter an entire sheet for all instances where H2 (and on down) =
NO and I2 (and on down) is non blank?

Cell H4 has the equation =column()
The next two cells in H have the equation

I would like to highlight/shade the entire row that currently has the
active/selected cell. For example, whenever I am anywhere on row 10 I would
like all of row 10 to be highlighted or shaded a certain colour. I have been
looking for a function like ACTIVEROW or ACTIVECELL so ...

How can you populated columns of data on a worksheet from a pull down list
when the columns of data are on another worksheet?  Can you populate a pull
down list from a selection from another pull down list?

Anyone have a macro that will remove spaces (no matter where) and remove
parenthesis?  I have some phone numbers I need to remove everything but the
number.

When I go to the help file in Excel, none of the links work. The
table of contents area is shaded. What can I do to make this work?
