I want to create one file of sensitive data that I can send to multiple
people.  Each recipient would enter their employee number and password to
access the data.  If someone has done something like this in Excel, please
let me know how it was accomplished.

Hi, I am pulling my hair out on this one. I just switched to Excel 2007 and I
cannot figure out how to Ungroup rows without also Unhiding any hidden rows
within that group. I really need to be able to Group/Ungroup without Unhiding

I'm using the following code to size and display a specific picture based on
my list box in cell A4. It does a "VLOOKUP" from cell A5 and then displays
the picture that is tied to the selection in the list box. This code is

JE McGimpsey mentioned this keyboard shortcut in a post back in June 2008.
It appears to change all cells in a spreadsheet from dates to date serial
numbers and vice versa.  But I can't find any mention of the shortcut in
Excel 2003 Help.  Can someone tell me where it is in Help ...

Worksheet named "Data" has two columns, column A is types of fruit.  Column B

Back in June, I asked (under the heading "CELL FORMATTING WILL NOT WOK") how
to resolve a problem I was having applying date formats in Excel 2000.  A
lot of people offered help, and I spent many hours applying the various
solutions offered, all to no avail.

When one tenders on a contract, there is a clause about escalation of the
contract price. If I remember correctly, one formula is for labour and one

I have created a spreadsheet used to track gas mileage.  Each row
contains the date of fill-up, amount to fill up, pricer per gallon,
miles and then calculates mileage.
There is a separate section that calculates the average mileage per

Is it possible to remove conditional formatting setting vai a macro.
I use a macro to copy a range (visible rows only) to a new sheet, the
cond.formatting gets messed up because the row numbers change.
The macro recorder doesn't record the cond.format part.

Can I setup a worksheet to copy data from another worksheet in the workbook
based on the entry in one column?   On WS #1, can I have a function that
looks to WS #2, column E and if E="T", then copy that row, column a,b,c&d?

When I click on an Excel 2003 file a box pops up UNABLE TO READ FILE.  I
click OK and the file opens.  Anyone have an idea
