Here is what I want to do.  I have numbers in column A and I have text and
blanks in column B.  I want to know the sum of the numbers in column A that
have text in coumn B.

I have a list of names in Column A and a amount of money owed in
column B.  This list is deep in another part of a lager sheet and can
not be sorted.  The problem is there are names that repeat in column A
and I need a arrive at a sum for whom owes what for each person.

information.  For example, say the column has entries 1,2,3,4 and 5 in five
separate rows.  I would like to be able to sum a number of contiguous entries

I have a pivot table with three years of various categories of data in rows,
divided into quarters for the years  2005-2007, running horizontally in 12
columns. I would like to insert a new column for the total of the 4 quarters
for each year.

Is there a way to change the font case in Excel to all caps or all lower
case? I need to sort a column and have mixed fonts that are interferring with
my sort and I do not want to do this in Word.
If not, is there a way to make Excel ignore font setting?

I need the total number of unique values in a list.  I don't what to know how
many of each value there is.

When I am viewing a worksheet in page break preview, I am able to move the
solid blue line, but not the dashed blue line in Excel 2003. Can anyone

When I am working in a cell, how can I set it up so that when I hit 'Enter',
the cursor will move right under the text in the current cell that I am
working in, as it does in Word, instead of always going down to the cell
below the cell that I am working in?
