Why does the attachments arrive to the email receiver asa  dat file?  Any
help would be appreciated.

I'm using office XP, so when i open outlook it takes very long time to open,
and when I click on New mail everytime it asks that someone is trying to
access your e-mail address would u like to allow them or not.
I scanned for virus but there is no virus.

I recently "emptied" my deleted items folder.  Is there any way to retrieve a

I've been sending automatic emails from access 2003 fro about a year now.  
One of our tech guys just installed the latest outlook security patch and now
when i run the sendobject command from access i get a box asking me if I
really want to send this message when before access ...

The Outlook assistance tells you to change the format of your outgoing emails
to HTML or Plan Text in order to avoid the attachments to be changed to
winmail.dat.
I just did that, but the recipients still receive winmail.dat attachments.

I think this may be because of the outgoing server number under advanced
eamil settings?
