I have never tried to archive my mails, because i did not know exactly what
would happen.
My mailbox is getting large, with an inbox with 18 000 items, and 20 000
sent items - so it's probably time to archive.

This never happened to me before.  I have Outlook 2003, and I received a
message with five attached photos.  The filenames are
iPhotoiPhoto-mailtmp-o.jpg.  I tried opening any of them but got an error
message saying "Cannot find F:\Eudora\attach\iPhotoiPhoto-mailtemp-o.jpg.  

I have too many weird problems to address individually and would like to
simply remove what I have and start over again.
I know how to save my .pst file.

I am hoping someone can help me out here.  I am running Outlook 2007 and am
unable to get the quick search feature to work.  Regardless of what I search
for, I am always told:
