I have had to reinstall office and now I cannot seem to, create new email, open email (can read in preview window), nor able to forward email. Error saying that microft has encountered a problem and needs to close? Any ideas? Thank you

I down loaded Outlook and it has a drab gray screen and no buttons at the bottom for mail, tasks, calendar, etc. Is there a way to change this? The screen is very simple compared to my other 2 computers with Outlook.
