Every time I open a blank document in Word, it is formatted with 3 columns. I can get one column for that particular document, but the next time I open a blank document, it still comes up with 3 columns. I can't get rid of this default 3 column setting. What can I do about it?

I'm doing an email merge with Word XP but when I receive the test message I send in my Outlook inbox, all the hyperlinks have disappeared. If I try to send it as plain text, the hyperlinks disappear in Word but they are clickable in Outlook.
