In the past several months, I have noticed some of my Word
document files have become "read only".  I have not
changed anything that I am aware of.  How do I prevent
that in the future?  And how can I change the documents

I recently had problems with my Microsoft word 200 SR-1,
so I un-installed it with plans to re-install it.  My
disk was purchased on the internet.   The disk is

I opened a Japanese file one Internet explorer which opened up Word.
Ever since whenever I try to type using Word I can only type from top
to bottom not from left to right. Is there anyway I can fix this?  I'm
using Windows ME with windows 2000.

I discovered Greg Chapman's website and downloaded his "file Cataloger". He
clearly states that all his utilities are for Word 2000, 2002 and Word XP
but I thought I would try it and see if it would work in my Word 97.
