I cannot figure out why my printed document prints different then when I preview it in print preview. I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.

I'm not really a new user, but after using Word for about 10 years, I am utterly baffled by v.2002 that came with my new computer. I just printed a document in which I had inserted a page break. Instead of printing on a new sheet of paper, Word inserted the dotted Page Break line

When I use Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Delaney\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates, which is where my Normal.dot is stored, there are two templates: one is ~$Normal.dot and the other is Normal.dot.

Once in a while, I am given the open to save Normal.dot. At the moment, I can't remember the reason given. My question is, what are the consezuences of saving or not saving when such a warning is given?

Can anyone help me. Is it possible to create a document that has areas someone could write into ie text boxes and other areas that are locked and cannot be written into? Im probably being very thick but would appreciate anyhelp. I can't seem to find the soilution in the help

I run Word 97 under Windows 98 Every time I exit WORD I get the following message. Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal.dot. Do you want to save those changes?

Why is it that when I insert a Word Doc as an object the left inch or so of the text in the original Word doc is cropped? I can resize or do anything that seems to help.

if i am editing a document which has been wroted in another computer with a different author name, can MS Word change the author name by itself?(Word 97,2000,XP) my friend sended me a document and the author name is his name. But it must be a different name.

This has happened to us twice. Documents originated in our office switch from English to Spanish or from English to Portugese. In both cases the users had checked "Detect language automatically". Has anyone seen this before?

I click clipart online which lead me the the gallery. Select the pictures. Click download. Prompted to save to disk. Click OK. Now it is in D:/business. How do I export this single file with earlier

I am writing a book and have done several separate chapters (using same Template) and now want to combine them all into one document. Is it wiser to use the "Insert from file" or "select all" "copy" then "paste" into the one document?

I have Office 97 and need to print 400 tickets with incremental numbers on each ticket. Each ticket would be about the size of a name tag - printed portrait orientation-, so 8 or 10 on a page, each with it's own number. Is there any way in Word - or Office in general to do this?

In an earlier version of Word I could use 'edit / paste special / formats' to copy the format but not the text of the clipboard. Now that I have Word 2002 I cannot find the same option. Has it been hidden, or am I missing something obvious?.

Newbie here! I need my secretary to print 2 copies of my 1 page letters, with both copies on an A4 sheet. i.e. 2 x A5 letters on and A4 sheet. How can I customese Word XP to do this and is there any way this can be automated or set be the the default way?
