I've created many macros but always saved them in the
Normal template document. I need to save a macro to a
floppy disk and have experimented with Organizer and
Macro Project but could not make it work. Would someone

can not use WordPad and NotePad with unicode fonts (as

In my word document, which is very long, I have a bunch of pages that are
pre-contents pages that should be numbered I, II, III, IV etc..
but just after the contents page, it should start numbering 1, 2, 3, 4 etc.
Is there any way to accomplish this dynamically with the {PAGE} ...

HELP.  I used to insert the em dash by holding the alt key and pressing 0151.  For some reason, when I try it now, a blank square box like this ► is displayed.  The funny thing is that the alt+0151 works in powerpoint.  Please help, I don't understand what is wrong with word.

I've got a long document with a lot of arrows inside (the ones which
comes with the symbol font). I've found a new characters set which has
the double arrows used in chemistry and I'd like to automatically
replace the old arrows with these ones.

Fairly large document, many paragraphs with a line break between each.
Would like to sort by first letter of each paragraph.  Only Sort option I
can find is in the Table menu.  Odd thing is that this will sort the
paragraphs descending Z-A OK but trying to sort ascending A-Z get ...

I have OEM of XP Home, with Word 2002 pre-installed.  I have some stability
issues that I want to try and correct with an update.  The problem is that
when I go and try to install an update for Word, the installer is looking
for the Office XP Service Pack 2, which I don't have ...

Using Word 2000.  With decimal tabs, I have a column of numbers such
that the first 3 have 4 digits & 2 decimals and the last entry (the
4th) has 2 digits & 2 decimals.  How can I underline the entire column

I moved tool bars around to where I want them to permanently stay.
Everything looks just the way I want it to be. I close "Word" and the
next time I launch "Word" everything went back to the way it was

I recently ran some updates to my Word 97 including SP1 & SP2.  Ever since
then, documents have been taking a very long time to save (about 30-45
seconds per document).  This happens if the document is large or small.  I

Is there anyone who can solve the following problem?
I save many of my Word documents on the (Windows) desktop. When I
double-click one of these shortcuts, the document opens in Word.
The other day I did something wrong, I don't know what, but the icons
