I use Word 2000 in Hebrew. Sometimes strange horizontal lines appear and I can't erase them no matter what I do - mark the whole page and delete, nothing. They stick. This happens especially when I change paragraph direction to write in English.

Susan Barnhill was kind enough to tell me that one can set word up so that it launches with the file the last session ended with. She advised me to create a new shortcut incorporating the switch winword /mfile1

Whenever I close Word2000 (XP) I get the message "Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal.dot. Do you want to save these changes? I say NO and all's well. Except that it happens every time...

Back again, I'm having problems getting this done.How can I outline an area with dotted lines and then write in it. What I like to do is write in that area and then cut it out along the dotted line. I like the area to be 3x5" Your help is much appreciated........Peter
