My question is about comments: whenever I place one in a document, it prints; when I tell Word to hide it, there's no indication as to where it is, such as occurred in Word Perfect.

When I copy and paste text into a Word document, the text retains the style of the source document. I know I can choose "Paste Special" and then "Unformatted Text" so the text I'm pasting will take on the style already in the document, but that is quite cumbersome. Is there a way

Is there a way to prevent Autotext from automatically inserting a spac at the end so I don't have to backspace when I add a plural ending? With almost all of my Autotext entries, when I call them up with F3 o the Enter key, if I want to add "s" (or whatever) to make it plural,

I am working on 8 slave documents and later put all of them into a master document. When I put them together, the number system (heading 2 and heading 3) are totally wrong. I tried to edit them in the master file, but it didn't work.

We have a old word document, when we open it it changes the date to the current date we don't want the current date, we need it to keep the old (original date).

I'm using Word 2002, I've unchecked the box under Tools>Options>General> 'Automatically create Drawing Canvas for autoshapes'......works fine for autoshapes, the Drawing Canvas is thankfully gone (it drove me nuts!)
