My question is about comments: whenever I place one in a
document, it prints; when I tell Word to hide it, there's
no indication as to where it is, such as occurred in Word
Perfect.

When I copy and paste text into a Word document, the text retains the
style of the source document. I know I can choose "Paste Special" and
then "Unformatted Text" so the text I'm pasting will take on the style
already in the document, but that is quite cumbersome. Is there a way

Is there a way to prevent Autotext from automatically inserting a spac
at the end so I don't have to backspace when I add a plural ending?
With almost all of my Autotext entries, when I call them up with F3 o

I am working on 8 slave documents and later put all of them into a master
document. When I put them together, the number system (heading 2 and heading
3) are totally wrong. I tried to edit them in the master file, but it didn't
work.

the date to the current date we don't want the current

I'm using Word 2002, I've unchecked the box under Tools>Options>General>
'Automatically create Drawing Canvas for autoshapes'......works fine
for autoshapes, the Drawing Canvas is thankfully gone (it drove me
nuts!)

I setup a header and footer on the first page of my document.  I then
go to the second page, select View, Header and Footer and nothing
happens. The cursor just sits in the document. When I go to print
layout, only the first page displays header and footer. Any ideas on

When using a list format, e.g., 1. 2. 3., ..., and the sentence extends
beyond the margin, it wraps properly to the next line, but it begins at

    I'm not sure this is the correct "community" to contact concerning an MS Word problem our office is having, but at least it's a start.  (Microsoft won't let you contact them directly without an enormous fee.)  
    It's a document formattingn question -- if this is the WRONG ...
