Hi, I asked this question previously but have not yet solved the problem.
I am using Word 2002.  When I open a document and immediately close it
(without doing anything), Word asks me if I wish to save any changes.  I
have checked and TRK is not on.  What could be causing this ...

I'm using Word97 SR-2. Please could someone show me how to count words
across multiple documents. Basically I have book chapters in separate
documents and would like to get a total word count easily. Is there a macro
that will do this, and if so, can I download it from somewhere?

created with wordpro.  Any way to convert them to word?  
BTW I'm running Word 2000 with Office 98.
