These (attached screengrab) marks have recently appeared in Word 200
and I cant get rid of them, dammit ? They are in old documents or ne
documents so it is am overall setting, i.e. not document specific.

I have a general question about office 2000 and 2003, more specific i
the Word product.
My office uses several different templates (which have set form field
and in protection for ease of navigation) which work in Office 2000.

I can slide existing tabs (but this is not precise enough)
I can make new tabstops
I can delete old ones
but i cant edit existing ones? (i attempt to, it creates a new one)

I am new to using VB with Word. I have been using Access
for awhile.  What I am trying to do is be able to call a
macro from Access to a word document.

WordPerfect had a feature which allowed you to save not
only your current document, but all documents which were
open at the time.  The next time you opened up
WordPerfect, you could continue right where you left off.

I have been sent a Word file from a Mac user and everytime I try opening in
Word 2003 it tells me I need a converter and it asks if I would like to
install one.
What converter do I need to install? I even asked the Mac user to save down

I run Word 2000 on a Win 2000 Pro box.
It takes about thirty seconds to open a one page document with the
scanning for viruses message down in the lower left.

This may sound silly, but what does the extension .dot stand for on template
files?

i want to protect the formfield from being deleted in Word doc. and, i
want to make it moveable in the doc. but, i don't want to protect the
doc. so that users have the freedom to edit the doc. does anyone has
any idea or examples on how to do that?
