Sometime ago I installed an extended font properties that enhanced the information about fonts. I got another computer and now I can't remember what it was. Anyone out there have an idea, I hope? I think it came from Microsoft but just can't find it.

Using Word XP SP3. After selecting different fonts, Word stores the most 9 recent fonts used at the beginning of it's main font list. Is there a way to stop that? Or set the number to 1 or 2?

In a file I got from elsewhere (can't ask the author), there are gray colored symbols in the left margin that look like a capital "I" or a vertical I-beam, a little bigger than the text (could almost be like a bracket). I can't select them, can't find anything in Help.
