I have been wondering how to go about using the hyperlink function in word, can anyone throw more light on how its functions and what it is used for really !

Just received a Xls Document and can not open it.
Do not wish to purchase Excel just to open 1 doc.
Please advise.

If i try to put a border around 2 columns of text - there's no borderline
drawn where the text flow is - i.e. the bottom border of the 1 st column and
the top border of the 2nd column?

I am currenlty doing a wordprocessing package and i have to import graphic

A co-worker has a unique problem that began within the past 10 days...
She is unable to view certain letters (primarily "s") when words are

I have an Excel spreadsheet with data that I am merging into a document.
One of the fields contains the filename of a graphic.
I would like to be able to merge the graphic into the document. I
presume that I will need some embedded macro to do this ?

Hi with the agenda wizard, there does not seem to be a way of getting the
wizard to show starting times for subjects, am I missing something, or is
there a better tool somewhere else.

In a particular document, word repaginates each time I hit
the page down key. This takes a second or two and as you

Ctrl-s save the current document.  But sometimes (randomly) in addition to
saving the document, my zoom changes, usually kicking it up a notch or too.

Every few days I lose the default return address for my envelopes. I retype
it and say Yes when Word asks if I want to save it as the default return
address. But, a few days later, it is blank again. Why will Word not
remember this setting?

I am confused (how do you do).  I have word installed on my pc, whenever I
open a new document and whenever I open Word it opens with a document I made
ages ago.  I have to select all / clear to create new documents.

If a series of subdocuments are entered into a Master doc,  I see:
