Folks:
In my earlier post yesterday, I sought help on maintaining the format
of my documents on other people's printers.
I now realised that if the recipients have their "Reviewing Toolbar"

I am using Word XP and have a macro that runs fine in Word XP. I want to
find out if the macro can run in Word 97 as well. One way of course is to
run it in the Word 97 environment which, alas, is a bit hard to find these
days (in my case anyway).

I'm presently gathering materials for a biblical commentary to be
written in Word 97 with two columns per page.  The biblical text will
be pasted in the left-hand column, while the commentary text will be

I have a bunch of MS Word forms (about 200) made from a template with
several fields (text, checkbox, and dropdown).  I need to update some of
the dropdown fields to include additional values.
If I unlock the form, add the new value, then lock the form, all of the

I have a file that I believe got corrupted somehow (I think it was when I
inserted a screen print into it - the file size went from 1 to 5mb).  I have
tried all the troubleshooting tips on the MS website to no avail. When I
open the file, it makes Word "hang" and I cannot do ...

I've got a big document that has several different chapters (or
sections).  I need to be able to have differnet headers for all the
chapters (for example, chapter 1's header is "In the beginning",
chapter 2 is "God created man", etc...).  The way I have it right now,

I like to email word-serial letters. For this I prepared
the query options appropriately, set up the email (Subject
matter + document as attachment)and "merged" it.

I've set up a letterhead template, using the "different first page"
option.     The header on the first page of the letter is my address and
the date.   The footer on each page is "Page X of Y" and the date.
This template insists on generating a two page letter even if the letter

I cant turn off strikethrough, when i delete in a word doc. the text is
tstrikethrough... What i want is a mark in the left side and nothing ells no
colours strikethrough, so others can see I have changed something!!

In Word97 when you insert a table you can go to Table / Autoformat and
choose (none) under formats and the Table would become grey. How is this
done in WordXP? There is no option for (none). I would like to see the
outline of the table, but not have any lines print on the paper.
