Hi.  Just got a new Pentium 4 XP Pro machine.  Just started using Word 2002
and have some questions.  Was hoping someone in this newsgroup could help.
Background:  I have some online manuals are offered in two versions, txt and
htm.  For the txt file, 'print to file', 'Generic/Text ...

I like to change the background of my documents while I write. This is
easy to do, but when I change my view to Print (from normal) the
screen color jumps back to white. How can I stop this? And make this a
default, too?

I speak a little Russian and I bought  aset of Office 2003 in Russia.
I would like to change the menus so that they are in English. How is
this done please?

Hello, I have a Windows xp system at work and there is a delay after opening
a document from the network server. the XP machine is less then 6 months old
and has always had this issue. the version of office is either 2003 or
office xp. I don't remember at the top of my head. the ...

I have created a simple document of 6 pages.  The last six
lines of the page have dots under each word.  That part of
the document won't print.  What do these dots mean?

I accidentally saved my old document over my new document and all the
changes I made are gone. I have MS word xp.
Is there a chance that I can find them in some hidden files anywhere on

Whenever I try to send an email with a word attachment, I
cannot be sure that it will be received. Successful
receipt seems to be randon while most go missing
altogether. There is no undeliverable message-- the email

Office 2000, WinMe,.............when I click on TOOLS, the selections for
"Macros", "Options",  "Templates and Add-ins" and "Customize" are greyed out
so I cannot select them.........how might I correct this?

Something got turned on in Word which makes the background look like graph
paper when in print layout view. If I switch to normal view the lines go
away.
These lines don't print and don't seem to affect anything.

How does one enter a place marker such as 'Click & type'  or 'Enter text
here' that disappears as soon as the user types in it?

I've just tried printing an envelope with a 9 line address.   The full
address shows up in the Envelopes and Labels window but only the first 7
lines print on the envelope.   I've tried adjusting the "From Top"
setting for the Delivery Address but still only the first 7 lines ...

We receive about 100 .doc files from our transcriptionists each day.
They are put into a new Folder each day.  How can I print all of thes
out without loading each one into Word and printing each on
separately?
