Start Word with Outline toolbar06 Sep 2004 10:12 GMT1
I am currently using Word 2002 on a Windows XP system. I
would like to start word and have the outline toolbar
present. Every time I enable the toolbar and exit word, it
is no longer present when I reopen word. I tried opening

Is there some way I can add pronunciation marks to letters in Word?  For
example -- the "long i" sound, as in "Hide" would be an i with a bar above
it.  How do I make that combined symbol?

I always have to hit Ctrl+F1 to turn on the Styles/Formatting Pane. How can
I default this to alway on?

I think the person who installed Office XP on my computer did a typical
install.  I don't seem to have all the fonts I should.  How do I check on
this and make sure I have them all?  I have tried to do a custom install and
find a section on fonts but I don't see any such section.

I'm running Word 2002 SP3 under XP SP2 at the moment.  Once I load a
picture into a document I can select it and right click on it.  In the
pop-up menu that comes up the "Edit" line is grayed out.
I went to Tools/Options/Edit and saw that there is a line indicating

Few days ago I used 'document map' and 'thumbnails' command in view menu.
Now whenever I start Word the thumbnail also starts with it in left side.
How do I prevent this?

God knows what has happened but I have had no toolbar in
Word for a few days.  I cannot get it to come back using
the Word help program. The only information on the top bar
(the task bar?) is Document 1   Microsoft Word.  Nothing

I am now attending college.  All the papers must be typed in APA style.  
According to the instructions, You go to WORD and under File, select NEW:
select Apa6.  I am not finding it.  I am not familiar with WORD.  I have been
using WordPerfect.
