I just upgraded from 2000 to 2003 and have some questions about differences in Track Changes and Comments:
1.  I used to be able to easily see the original document as I'm making changes. It looks like to do that in 2003 I should select Show then original, but some of the changes ...

Word 2000 has suddenly refused to drop down the file menu. All the
other menus will scroll down but when I press down on the file menu
button ---nothing.
This started quit suddenly a few days ago. Have not installed any new

I am trying to learn WORD on my own. I can stumble my way
around but haven't figured out how to get the word " re'sume' " to
handle the 2 "e' "s so they look right but I am proud that I can
change fonts and sizes.

Even though I have made no changes to a document,  when I exit Word I get
the following message "Changes have been made that affect the global
template, Normal.dot. Do you want to save those changes?" Is there a way to

I am new to word - Upon opening a new document and as soon as I start typing
anything the whole line turns black, if I hit enter, it turns the next line
black and so on. Can someone help a beginner?

Is there any setting I can use so that each time I go to Find and Replace the
dialog box will be empty?  As it is now, each time I go there, the same
"finds and replaces" I used days ago are still there!  Drives me crazy,
especially when I'm trying my best to record a macro.

I am sure that many of you have seen the advertising posters that have
at the bottom phone numbers to be torn off.
The text is usually horizontal in portrait orientation while the phone
number slips at the bottom of the page are vertical.

When I try to dropdown the font to select another font in Word it's very
slow and takes awhile before it drops down, I have repaired and reinstall
Office 2003 and it still seems to be the same as before, any idea's on how
to fix this?
