I am trying to learn WORD on my own. I can stumble my way around but haven't figured out how to get the word " re'sume' " to handle the 2 "e' "s so they look right but I am proud that I can change fonts and sizes.

Even though I have made no changes to a document, when I exit Word I get the following message "Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal.dot. Do you want to save those changes?" Is there a way to get rid of that message? Thanks.

I am new to word - Upon opening a new document and as soon as I start typing anything the whole line turns black, if I hit enter, it turns the next line black and so on. Can someone help a beginner?

Is there any setting I can use so that each time I go to Find and Replace the dialog box will be empty? As it is now, each time I go there, the same "finds and replaces" I used days ago are still there! Drives me crazy, especially when I'm trying my best to record a macro.

I am sure that many of you have seen the advertising posters that have at the bottom phone numbers to be torn off. The text is usually horizontal in portrait orientation while the phone number slips at the bottom of the page are vertical.

When I try to dropdown the font to select another font in Word it's very slow and takes awhile before it drops down, I have repaired and reinstall Office 2003 and it still seems to be the same as before, any idea's on how to fix this?
