I don't know what I did, but when opening folders (Control-O) in Word, the
listing is now ascending (Z to A) instead of the preferable (A to Z) like it
was before today.
How do I correct this?

I am producing some documentation about working in Word tables and
would like to incorporate pictures of the various mouse pointer /
cursor shapes. Sadly my screen capture software will not trap my

If I make a selection from a word 2002 document with a remark in it
and I print this then I get a blank page.
If I print the selection after I removed the remark there is no
problem.

I have a big *.doc file (~200 pages) with a lot of pictures. All the
pictures are linked from the file, i.e. they are stored in some
directories on the hard disk. When I open the file and go to a
particular page of the document it takes some time before the pictures

Is it possible to select all pictures in the document?
Or how can I apply some changes to all pictures with "one mouse click"?
(e.g. to change the size or layout and etc.)

When I close WORD and re-open it, it always goes back to the beginning. In
EXCEL it always goes to where I left off. How can I do this with WORD, so
when I open it, it is where I left off so I don't have to scroll down 20 or
50 pages?

Hi.  I have a MS WORD (OFFICE 2003) doc with many hyperlinks.  When I hover
the mouse over a link a message appears which says to hold down the Control
Key and then click with the mouse to access the link.  It used to be I could
simply click on the link without this extra step.  ...

When I save Word and bring it up again, it always goes back to the
beginning. How do I save Word so when I open it again, it will take me back
where I left off?

How do I bring up two windows? When I bring up two Excel spread sheets, it's
only one window. I can go back and forth but I only have one window, so how
can I have two windows so I can compare them?

I've got a problem:  two long docs that I'd like to place side by side.  I'm
thinking two columns, and I thought that if I formatted a new document w/ 2
columns, then pasted one doc in one column and then the other in the other
column everything would be cool.  Well, when I try to ...

I was looking for a way to insert multiple pictures into Word.  If I
use Insert>Pictures>From File then pick more than 1 picture file, the
order of the files get mixed up in the Word document compared to how
they are selected or listed in the folder.

I have 5 Word documents that all of the text has suddenly turned to squares.  
Can anyone please help me.

In dealing with my most recent problem I had occasion to find and possibly
delete Normal.dot. When I did a Search for Normal.*, Normal.dot. XP didn't
find it. After doing some Googling I found that one could locate Normal.dot
at C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application ...

Information is as follows:
Quarterly Report done in various versions of Word (2000 or XP).
This report is reused every quarter with track changes "on" to show any
changes to text.
