New Word 2002 (and XP) user. Honest, I looked, but can't seem to find it. a. How do I get rid of the green and red underlines that apparently are telling me to check grammar and spelling ?

For the left and right margin (horizontal line) I can adjust this dark part of the ruler (bar) sideways; no problem! But now I do no longer have this bar on the vertical ruler; it's all "white" from the top to the bottom of the page

When I start typing, the background on that line turns black and the text vanishes into the background. If I hit the enter key, the next line also turns black . How can I start using Word without the white background changing every time I hit a key?

A user has a document that has "Section 1.01", "Section 1.02", "Section 1.03" created with REF codes. They wanted to update the TOC but one section would not update. Upon looking further that section did not have a REF code attached. I tried it by clicking Insert Field, Links and ...

I've made a doc by using mail merge to a new document. It has 415 pages and when I select print, pages, 1-10, it prints all of them. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi all. I'd like to pick the brains of all you Word experts. I am a long time user of Woody's Office Power Pack (a.k.a. "WOPR" by Woody Leonard. It's served me well over the years, but the version I have only works with Office/Word 97.

I have a table set at 140%. Often when I open the file it resizes itself to 100%. I save it again at 140% but it keeps resizing itself. What is happening? Tnaks

I know I'm going to feel like an idot when someone points-out the obvious, but... After (hapilly, for the most part) using Office 2003 for several weeks, I've turned-off the "getting started" task pane in the applications.
