Occasionally I find that text containing a person's name displays with a gray background. The background doesn't appear when the text is printed. Is this perhaps some feature which picks up names in my Outlook Express address book?

On one of the computers in our office Word will constanty crash. It will throw up that message about sending a report to MS (does anyone ever read thosse?) & will restart in safe mode. I've deleted & re-installed, & nothing has changed. Everything else seems to work firn, though.

I have an Avery label (#5440) that I want to use. The label is 1.5"x 3" and comes 3 on a page that is 4" x 6". Can I use Word to make a template that is 1.5 x 3 so that I type the text on the one label and have it repeat on to the other other two labels on the page?

I am manually typing address labels (5160) when I get to the end of the page I expected to proceed to the next page, but nothing happens! There is no "NewPage" on the menu, only "new Document". I don't want a new document I just want add more labels. Why is this so difficult??

In Word2000, I have links to an Excel spreadsheet. The references (Edit-Links) are in R1C1 format. Haw do I change this to A1 format? Thanks

I am making a template for a newsletter. This template must contain four pages with on three pages different column heights. Now I have inserted sections etc and everything works. Except this: text from page 1 is not going to the columns on page 2 which have a different section.

I was just sent a list of names and addresses. Each line after the name and after the address is followed by a paragraph mark. Each entry (name and address) is separated by two paragraph marks. It needs to be alphabetized according to last name.

I am trying to understand why on my WindowsXP laptop and Windows 98 second edition computers that Word perceives a difference when using an application (FinePrint) to facilitate printing double sided pages. I am running Word 2002 on both machines.
