When I depress the Backspace or Delete key my computer only backspaces or deletes one letter at a time, even though I keep the key depressed. How can I get it to work properly again?

I need some help please. When I place a picture in a document, it seems to work OK. But when I send the document to someone else who opens it, the picture has moved. How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

I've got a problem with Word XP as it is placing and removing spaces without asking. I've got 2 samples to illustrate my problem. Sample 1 (Copy & Paste):

I want to upgrade to word 2003, but I am not sure if word 2003 is compatible to word 2000? I mean, the same document may need be used between both word 2000 and 2003, edit, save, ... but may not use those new functions only found in word 2003.

User has an org chart created in Word 2000. Now she has XP and when you open the chart, the horizontal lines under the basically "centered" 3rd level manager have been extended. It appears as though the data is being stretched to fit the margins somehow.
