I am trying to help a friend with her computer.  She put her addresses in the
address book under accessories in XP.  How do I select this as the database
for a mail merge for labels?

I'm baffled by the behavior of styles. (Word 2003)
I've defined about a dozen styles using the New Style button on the Task
Pane -
some character and some paragraph styles.

I've been a Word user for years and am so comfortable with most
of it that I can't imagine using a different word processing program.
But one really annoying thing happens from time to time - and has

Often in Word when I paste text into a document it will have double spacing
at line breaks.  I highlight the paragraphs select FORMAT, PARAGRAPHS and
put Line Spacing to SINGLE.  But I still have double spacing at carriage

When using the general templates to create a page of labels by
selecting the label type and "New Document," the document template
that appears does not have the non-printing guidelines.  How do you
get the guidelines back?

The background colour of a document in word has been changed to blue
and the fonts to yellow. How do I change it back to default
permanently.
I have made the changes and saved to the template (normal.dot).

I can show or hide hidden text by going to tools/options/view and clicking
the "Hidden" box,
but is there a keyboard shortcut to do that?
I found that Ctrl+Shift+H will hide selected text, but I can't find anything

sentences that end in a period and only have 1 space instead of 2 spaces

Is it possible to put command buttons on a Word Templete (to do
various tasks)that won't show up when I print off a hard copy?  In
Access, there is provision for this on a report, so surely there must

Is it possible to rotate a text box? The only way I seem
to be able to rotate text is through word art. This does
not allow consistency with the font size I am using in the

In a standard letter we have to have 4 lines for the address some recipients
don't have all lines populated and i dont want to print blank lines of an
address in a mail merge, but can't work out how not to do this.
