I've just installed Office 2003. When I select a block of text and press the
delete key, a confirmation dialogue appears at the bottom (status bar) asking
me if I want to "delete block (yes/no)?" How can I tell Office to delete the
text without the confirmation?

The insertion of merge fields is barbaric, you have to add all fields on a
single line and then format the content, or close out of the popup window
after each insertion so you can add the field and formatting at the same
time.  

I use Microsoft word.  Every time I open it up, an old document comes out.  
How can I get this document out so when I open it up, I can see a clean blank
sheet?

I got a file in my email on yahoo and it would not open. I downloaded Win xp
file converter and still the file is not viewable on Word 2003

I want to be able to enter numbers in a word document, and be able to format
them as to commas; e.g. 10,256,312 instead of 10256312.  I do not want to
import excel or to use word tables.

get a little picture (which looks like a PDA) pasted instead...

I am using Word 2003 and am trying for the very first time to set up  a form
with drop down boxes, the online help gives me info on where to type the drop
down info but I don't understand how to activate it the list.  This form will

How do I make a table cell a header?
Or is there nothing in Word for specifying a cell as a header? I sure
thought I had done that but it has been a long time. Perhaps I am just too
accustomed to HTML, in which there are separate tags for header cells.
