i've had my pc since oct 2002 and have never been able to get into word. At login stage it asks for a 25 digit reference number. the only one i've got is on the underside of the pc itself and every variation of this has been used to no avail. Does any one know of a solution? I ...

Whenever I open a word doc I get the "Final Showing Markup" view instead of the Final view I prefer. Is there a way to change this so it defauts to the view I want?

Hi! Any ideas as to why I can't open an Excel file in Word? It should just open fine and show as a table. I get a dialog box showing me gibberish asking how I want to convert it. Denise

Using Word 2000. I have what appears to be a fairly standard size envelope for greeting cards. The envelope measures 7 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Many of the "standard" envelope selections in Word are given in "mm" and my conversion skills are pretty rusty.

Recently I started having trouble in Word with viewing pictures. My settings have not changed and I can't think of what I might have installed or updated to cause this. It acts like a video driver problem but I can't find any evidence of such. Here's what happens:
