How can I get Word to stop asking "Delete block? No (Yes)" every time I try
to do a block delete? I'm used to WordPerfect and am finding Word
increasingly irritating. Everything seems to take 3 or 4 steps instead of 1
or 2.

Two of our XP users can't save Word documents to their
network drive, though they were able to do so earlier.  
(They are using MS Office Word 2003.)  
I was able to add a new folder on the network drive, as

If I wanted a number to appear at the cursor how would I insert it. Using
bullets/numbering gives me alignmant, formatting which is what I don't want.
Here is an example:

Yep, that's the question in the Subject. Sometimes it's quite obvious, but
other times ... Wow! Is there some way to have Word what it is objecting to?

If you start a line by typing at least three hyphens in a row and then hit
ENTER, a the Word will insert a horizontal line at this location .  The
question is how to remove these lines at a later time.  They are stubborn
and don't go away when you just select them and hit 'delete'.  ...

Is thre a way to insert page numbers alternatively for a
book format?  In other words, the manuscript is one-
sided, so the pages are numbered sequentially.  Can I do
