I am running Microsoft Word 2000 under Windows XP Professional.
I cannot get my choice of font for a default to work. I go through the
process of choosing and clicking on "default", the font shows on new
documents, but when I begin typing the font reverts to 'Times New

I highlight a TOC and remove all the tabs and then set one and the TOC looks
okay. But when I do an "update field" the TOC returns to the way it was
before.  How do you get the changes to stick between updates.

I'm working on a 350 page document that was saved by someone in four
versions; i.e., the first 90 pages in version 1, the second 90 in version 2,

In Word 2003, I created a toolbar button (All Commands, Hyperlink Open) to
open a file. Each time I click on the button, I get a warning that
hyperlinks can be harmful, do I want to continue. How do you get rid of this
