I'm currently working on a lengthy Word file emailed to me by a client... problem is that it seems to be a bit 'odd'; it takes ages to scroll around the document and I'm very concerned it may just crash on me and become unusable (after I've spent hours of my time working on it!

We produce a lot of very detailed and complex legal documents which often have hundreds of "defined" words in them. These words are defined at the front of a document in initial cap and bold, like this "Agreement", "Superior Landlord" etc

Documents or templates that I have replaced and deleted continue to appear in the "Open" pane when I open Word. If I try to actually open them, I am told that the file no longer exists, which it doesn't. If I try to delete them, I get a "cannot delete, cannot read file" ...

I've a Word 2003 document that contains tables. With the option Show Gridline ON, I can obviously see gridlines. But as these don't really look promising when say an employer opens your CV (and when they've their Show Gridline option on).
